A full assessment of Land at Beaver Road’s attributes has been undertaken to inform the proposed layout. A new and improved access configuration is proposed to Beaver Road to serve the new dwellings. A significant green buffer is proposed to the periphery of the site to protect and enhance biodiversity while providing safe and attractive walking and cycling routes. The proposals also aspire to provide a new direct footpath connection to Barming Station through the development and are in negotiations with third party landowners to see if this link can be provided.

Perimeter blocks are proposed to maximise active frontages with views to public open space. The development will provide a range of new open spaces from children’s play spaces to formal gardens and informal natural greenspaces.

A variety of house types are proposed to suit a wide variety of needs, from one and two bedroom flats to five bedroom detached dwellings. The character and materials of the proposed new dwellings will reflect the local vernacular. All materials will be responsibly sourced and of a high quality.
